Michigan Mitten

$165.00

Fluid Acrylic on Baltic Birch, sealed with Epoxy Resin. Piece finishes smooth to the touch. Able to mount on a wall, mounting supplies not included.

This mitten is inspired from Lakehouse Living. My family owned a Lakehouse on Higgins Lake and my favorite childhood memories are being Up North and swimming in these waters. The lake was always clear and it was often scary and exhilarating to open my eyes and see the cascading slant of the 'deep end' right to the dark blue of the 'drop off'. From water skiing over the sunken islands, to lounging around on a floaty in the green hued sandbar waters, it's always been mesmerizing to see how water changes color based on depth; it's something I hold dear to my heart and reflect in this piece.

This piece is for someone who understands the beauty and adventure of Lakehouse Living.
