Nior Nacré Mini Series
The shimmering depths of this series may seem to come from a colour blue at first glance. The mesmerizing mystery colour actually comes from Pearlized Carbon Black; Nior Nacré. I initially started working with this colour when I wanted to form a piece representing the night sky. With this collection my intention is to ground the colours of water while inviting shimmering mystery into each piece. Black looking like blue is only one of the curious things that dwell in the deep blue, after all.
The Body Dialogue: Reframing Inclusivity, Diversity, & Belonging I
The Body Dialogue is a Documentary piece exploring the relationship between implicit bias, human story, and brain/body functioning. Jasper (under their dead name) presents what happens in the brain when we categorize other humans and why we do it. They weave this thread and the thread of individual story together to connect to the fabric of humanity. Jasper is continuing this docuseries and is in the process of creating another episode.
